An Introduction to Chalk 1 Munitions: Eight Years in the Making

We probably deserve an award for going this long without posting a single article about what we do. The truth is I’m not the kind of person who promotes a product before it’s been tested and proven. After hundreds of thousands of cartridges sold, and with the supporting technology finally catching up to our work, it’s time to start telling the story of Chalk 1 Munitions.

Over the coming posts we’ll dive into the technology that makes our rounds possible, the manufacturing process and the challenges that come with it, how we approach testing and quality control, and the realities of advertising and excise taxes in the ammunition business. We’ll also explain the idea behind our core product — the 6.5 Creedmoor subsonic — who should use it, how to apply it properly, and what to avoid.
